Den Lille Hagen is a small family business on Fjære, near Grimstad in Norway. It sells eggs, quail, honey, herbs and plants, and offers dog care. The website and everything behind it is a custom platform designed and developed by Xnett for Den Lille Hagen. It runs in production.

# why

A small business with a web shop, dog-care bookings, invoices and bookkeeping often ends up stitched together from several subscriptions. Here it is one platform built around how this business actually works: goods that are picked up or shipped, dog-care stays that are paid after the stay, and records that the owners can keep up with.

# on the public site

  • A website in Norwegian and English with products, animals, news, a blog and an about page.
  • A web shop with cart and checkout, paid with Vipps or by invoice for physical goods, picked up or shipped.
  • Dog care in Grimstad: a page describing the service, with an enquiry form.
  • Customer accounts.
  • A newsletter with explicit consent.
  • Installable as an app (PWA).
  • An on-site assistant that answers visitors' questions, clearly labelled as AI.

# behind the login

  • Orders: status, shipments, order e-mails with a PDF, and Vipps payment handling.
  • Dog care: bookings, a calendar by month, week and day, regular agreements, and payment links once a stay is finished.
  • Vipps: payment links, QR codes for quick sales on the spot, and settlement import.
  • Bookkeeping: sales, expenses, receipts read by image analysis, invoices, VAT registration periods and CSV export.
  • Content: products and articles in two languages with assisted translation, plus newsletters.
  • A mail inbox, review moderation and privacy tools for access and anonymisation requests.
