Installing Docker

Use the official Docker repository rather than distro packages, since Docker's own repo tends to ship newer engine versions with the security fixes you actually want.

bash
dnf config-manager --add-repo https://download.docker.com/linux/rhel/docker-ce.repo
dnf install -y docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io docker-compose-plugin
systemctl enable --now docker

Add your deploy user to the docker group rather than running everything as root — usermod -aG docker deploy. Log out and back in for it to take effect.
